I could not agree with this gentleman more. Semper Fi!

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

Classic Rock Quiz - August 4th

Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher" was once singled out by the PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center) as too suggestive. What politicians wife was one of the founding members of the PMRC? Answer: Tipper Gore

Oh, the villages of Canada and the Navy Seals

People ask me all the time, “where did you get the name Big R?” Well, after serving as a Navy Seal I embarked to the great Canadian north where I became a lumberjack. It was there that villagers dubbed me “Big R” because I stand as tall as the mighty forest.

20 YEARS AT WIMZ !!!

Just a small town girl from Southwest Kansas

Well about me….If I had one word that best defines me it would be ________. Yeah that pretty much says it all. I have not found the word yet, but I’m still searching.

Most people know me as “Jay Mac” and others as Jay McDaniel. Just a small town girl from Southwest Kansas with a mouth that likes to talk and cut up with our crazy listeners. You know, I’ve gotta say I love East Tennessee! It’s a beautiful place with great people.

Hi, how are you? My name is Billy Kidd

For my first blog I thought I would tell you a little about myself. My home town is Livingston, Tenn (100 miles west of Knoxville). My grandparents on my dad’s side settled in Overton County (1800-1804. BTW, ask me about this story because it is INCREDIBLE). I attended UT Knoxville from 1977-1981 and I was in the Pride of the Southland Band under Dr. J Julian, which was quite an experience.
