Trevor Bayne due at Knoxville welcome home rally

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Daytona 500 Champion Trevor Bayne will return to his hometown of Knoxville on Monday, February 28 for a welcome back rally.
The event honoring the 20-year-old racer will be from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in downtown Knoxville at Market Square.
Bayne will thank his hometown for all the support and congratulatory calls, emails and texts he has received since his historic win.
ESPN's Jerry Punch will be the emcee for the rally. Legendary NASCAR car owners Eddie and Len Wood and actor David Keith will also participate.
Bayne will be honored on stage by Knoxville Mayor Daniel T. Brown, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, Food City President and CEO Steven C. Smith and Bristol Motor Speedway General Manager and Executive Vice President Jerry Caldwell.
At the rally, fans will be able to purchase the Bristol Bayne Backer ticket package for a special price of $100. It includes:
- A ticket to the Jeff Byrd 500 on March 20
- A ticket to the Scotts EZ Seed 300 on March 19
- A Bristol Bayne Backer T-shirt
- Participation in a question and answer session with Bayne
All Bristol Bayne Backer ticket holders will be seated close together so his cheering section will be obvious.
The $100 ticket package offer is only available at the rally from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. After that, the cost goes up to $121.
