Position: Chief Engineer
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a radio chief engineer that would include proficiency in RF/transmitter work along with general broadcast audio chain responsibilities. Familiarity with Wide Orbit automation/traffic, Axia consoles and proficient IT skills are necessary. Strong communication skills are a must. SBE certification is a plus.
Summary of duties: This person acts as the Chief Operator for both stations and reports to the Vice-President/General Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall maintenance of all transmitter sites and equipment, studios, engineering rack electronics, satellite receivers, production facilities and IT equipment and ensuring FCC/FAA compliance at all times. Additionally, the Chief Engineer also coordinates general repairs and maintenance for the business offices and studios as required.
